Welcome to Birria-Landia

Birria-Landia Food Truck emerged in the autumn of 2019 in the vibrant community of Jackson Heights, nestled within the bustling metropolis of New York City. Founded by the innovative duo José and Jesús Moreno, two brothers from the quaint town of Coatzingo in Puebla, Mexico, Birria-Landia reflects their culinary passion, craftsmanship, and deep-rooted heritage.

With years of experience in renowned American and Italian establishments such as Lupa, Parm, and Del Posto, the Moreno brothers developed a refined culinary perspective that would later shape the identity of Birria-Landia. In 2013, José relocated to Chicago to assist in the opening of Eataly, the celebrated Italian food market and restaurant, before later helping establish its Los Angeles location.

It was during this journey that José discovered his passion for authentic Tijuana-style birria de res — a traditional beef dish marinated in a rich, complex adobo and slow-cooked for five hours each day. Crafted from a flavorful combination of brisket, shank, and top round, the birria at Birria-Landia is tender, juicy, and deeply rooted in the authentic traditions of Tijuana street food.

To complete the experience, the tacos are traditionally dipped into the savory birria broth, known as consommé, adding extraordinary depth, richness, and flavor to every bite.

I must say their Birria Tacos were good. There was a line to wait but I can say it was worth it. Employees were nice, helpful and attentive.
